LIPPY: a comedy liberation
Look out this Melbourne Fringe for LIPPY: a comedy liberation. A fearless one hour show exploring the “isms” that bug us the most like ageism, sexism, racism, undieism and pubeism. LIPPY is an intoxicating mix of stand-up, skits, song and dance performed by three worldly upstarts initiating comedy post-40 when life gets real strange. Meet bawdy dame extraordinaire Nicky Barry, Ninja-bogan chameleon Mayumi Nobetsu, and wicked punk funster Krissy Faye, cracking wise and dishing up the dirt on what it is to be a woman in the 21st Century. LIPPY is full of hilarious gags delivered with pathos, bathos and zero humility. We believe that a woman’s place is definitely in the kitchen – supervising whoever is mixing our next martini. We’ll blow-up beauty myths, sing it up for muffs, and dance like mad women whooping it up with audiences. LIPPY is cheeky, insolent and impertinent. We’re bad as hell and we’re not gonna fake it anymore. Hand us that mic and strap in for big belly laughs and feisty comedy galore!
